Nested sub-assembly BOMS in meal production in restaurants or central kitchens sometimes need a different consumption pattern than Business Central’s standard functionality.
With this extension, all Assembled-to-Stock Sub-Items contained in an Assembly BOM will consume the components of the sub-recipe instead of producing additional stock of the sub-item. This behavior will occur in up to 10 levels of sub-recipe. This will affect only Make-to-Stock Assembly sub-items (i.e. sub-recipes contained in a recipe).
A simple example is as follows:
We want to prepare Tacos de Pastor that is an assembly-to-stock item that contains 2 sub-recipes: Salsa habanera and Tortita
We want to produce Tacos de Pastor but we want to consume the sub-recipe of items 1001 and 1003 without producing stock of any of the sub-items:
with this extension, we modify the standard pattern consuming the components of 1001 and 1003 instead of producing additional stock of the sub-items
